Students and staff are expected to have completed a self-check in order to ensure that they do not present any signs or symptoms of respiratory illness.   The following table includes a systematic health check that can be carried out at home.

Second screening: At school

Those who wish to enter our campuses will be subject to a health screening in order to ensure that those entering our facilities are free of any type of respiratory illness.  American School staff and students, visitors, and suppliers will be subject to said screening.

Follow up for positive COVID-19 tests

The School’s Health Center team will contact and follow up on community members who have tested positive for COVID-19.  Said community members will receive information about self-isolating and best practices and the School will follow up on this community member’s recent contacts.   These steps are aimed at providing the best information possible to those involved as well as assess the impact that the virus has had on our campuses.

The Head of the School’s Health Centers will work closely with the state of Puebla’s health authorities in order to determine who will need to be in quarantine.  This decision will also consider the proximity of those involved and exposure period.
